I have the collecting bug. There is no cure. But, there is treatment. All I have to do is walk through a flea market or an antique mall and I'm happy as can be. There is always something new to see.
What I collect has changed over the years. The list includes door knobs, transformation playing cards, outsider art, insect, fish and bird sewing buttons, map postcards, embroidered postcards, walking sticks and canes, and nutcrackers.
And then about 15 years ago, I discovered vintage jewelry. My vintage costume jewelry collection grew so large and so fast, that I decided to sell some of the pieces. And before I knew what was happening, I quit my job to focus my full-time efforts on my new business - World of Eccentricity & Charm.
The hunt is the key. Finding a great piece gives me such a thrill. Even if it's a duplicate. A great piece of costume jewelry is a great piece.Every pieces is a favorite.
My goal is to add new inventory weekly, so there will always be something fresh to see. There will also be a weekly blog post focusing on a theme such as designer, motif or material.
If you have the collecting bug, World of Eccentricity & Charm is the place for you.
