Dogs in Costume Jewelry
Posted by Laurie Zeiden on
I am a dog person. Today's costume jewelry post is about Man's Best Friend. I have sisters; we grew up in the same house, but my sisters are cat people. I don't get it. But for them, I'll tackle kitty cat jewelry next week.

Vintage figural dog jewelry is very easily found in the secondary marketplace. Dogs (and any animals really) are a great place for a beginner to start. Every price range is out there and you can get a lot for a small amount of money. Every photo below is of vintage dog jewelry. The oldest piece, the gold dog brooch, dates to around 1890. Most of the others are from the 1940s to the 1970s.
